  • Australian Dictionary of Biography (online) 3 December 2020: (Georgiana Molloy (1805-1843), amateur botanist, was born on 23 May 1805 near Carlisle, Cumberland, England, to David and Elizabeth Kennedy. On 1 August 1829 she married Captain John Molloy and in October they sailed for the Swan River settlement (in the new colony which became Western Australia.) They moved south to Augusta, but the settlement failed and they moved to the Vasse River. She was a keen gardener, and became a plant and seed collector, supplying her materials to James Mangles, in England, who distributed them to botanical and private gardens, leading to their being scientifically classified; her dried, mounted specimens were particularly well prepared. She died at Fair Lawn, Busselton, on 8 April 1842.) http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/molloy-georgiana-2467
