  • Talbot School of Theology website, Biola University, 22 February 2018 (Dr Christiane Brusselmans (1930-1991) was a Catholic religious educator, catechetical advocate for children and a pioneer in the implementation of the Rite of Christian Initiation in the United States. She was born in November 1, 1930 in Louvain, Belgium, and the family moved three years later to Korbook-Lo, which was home for the rest of her life. After the war, she studied in Louvain and Paris, and in 1962 commenced doctoral work at the Catholic University of Aremica, completed in 1965, and returned to Louvain, working chiefly in the field of the catechumenate and religious formation and liturgical development. She also worked at times in the United States and other countries. In 1990 she became incapacitated.
