From 27 March - mid-April direct cataloguing to the ANBD will be unavailable. The Trove Partners Cataloguing tool will be released in mid-April. Wikipedia 21 November 2015 (Alexandre de Rhodes, S.J. (15 March 1591-5 November 1660) was a French Jesuit missionary and lexicographer who had a lasting impact on Christianity in Vietnam. He was born in Avignon, and entered the Jesuit noviciate in Rome on 24 April 1614, and arrived in Hanoi in 1620. His Portuguese-Latin-Vietnamese dictionary was used in the creation of the Vietnamese alphabet in Latin script. In 1649 he returned to Rome.
