The National Library of Australia is replacing the infrastructure that supports the Australian National Bibliogaphic Database (ANBD) in 2025. From 27 March - mid-April direct cataloguing to the ANBD will be unavailable. The Trove Partners Cataloguing tool will be released in mid-April. Albert Tucker was born in Melbourne, Australia, in 1914. In 1947 he travelled to Hiroshima and the devestation he saw there profoundly effected his work. In Australia he was part of the circle of artists concerned with social conditions, known as the Angry Penguins, the group included, Joy Hester, Sidney Nolan and Arthur Boyd among others. His international career took off when the Guggenheim Museum purchased some of his work and the Museum of Modern Art in New York mounted an exhibition. All major Australian galleries have purchased his work. Albert Tucker died in 1999.
