The National Library of Australia is replacing the infrastructure that supports the Australian National Bibliogaphic Database (ANBD) in 2025. From 27 March - mid-April direct cataloguing to the ANBD will be unavailable. The Trove Partners Cataloguing tool will be released in mid-April. Born in Brighton, Victoria; showed a talent in graphic and musical arts from a young age; performed publicly in 1894, when his talent was repeatedly noted; left Australia with his mother to study in Germany, where he entered the Dr. Hoch's Conservatorium in Frankfurt-am-Main at 13; enjoyed a long and arduous concert career in London and Europe; travelled to the United States of America in 1914 and became an American citizen in 1918; visited Australia in 1934-35, 1938 and 1955-56; died at White Plains, New York, his remains at his family's grave in Adelaide.
