His life in music publishing, from Thomas Edward Bulch, musician / Eric S. Tomkins, 2011: Partnership with Mr. J. Malthouse in a music business in Ballarat between 1888 and March 1889 ; Accepted a position in Melbourne with Allan & Co in between 1890 and 1891 ; In about 1893, he published "The intercolonial band news', 'Bulch's brass band and military journal' ; Later he published 'The intercolonial brass and military band journal' ; Much of his music was published by Suttons or Lyons. He also established a publishing company under his own name. The music published in America was through his agent for America, H.A.Richardson and Company of Los Angeles. His father acted as his agent in England till his death in 1906. Much of his music was published in Britain by W. Paxton, Oxford Street London and by james S. Kerr, 314 Paisley Road Glasgow ; In 1913, he moved to Melbourne and established a music store and publishing business in Sydney Road Brunswick ; During World War I, he continued in his music publishing business while living at 127 Stewart Street Brunswick ; In 1920 he moved to Sydney for a job as an arranger and transposer of music in Paling.
