Wikipedia, 30 March 2022: (Cecil Thomas Madigan (15 October 1889 – 14 January 1947) was an Australian explorer and geologist, academic, aerial surveyor, meteorologist, author and officer of the British army. He was born in Renmark, South Australia. He studied at the University of Adelaide. He joined Douglas Mawson's Australasian Antarctic Expedition in 1911, as meteorologist. After serving in the Royal Engineers in Wolrd War I he conducted aerial surveys of Central Australia and led expeditions there.
