Wikipedia 8 April 2018 (Henrietta Augusta Dugdale, née Worrell (14 May 1827-17 June 1918) was a pioneer Australian who initiated the first female suffrage society in Australia. Her campaigning resulted in breakthroughs for women's rights in Australia. She was born in St Pancras, London. She married merchant officer J.A. Davies, with whom she came to Australia in 1852; after his death she married ship's captain William Dugdale and settled in Queenscliff (Victoria). They later separated, and she lived in the Melbourne suburb of Camberwell. She began her campaign for "equal justice for women" in 1869, pursuing her aims particularly through forceful writing published in Melbourne newpapers and in formation of the Victorian Women's Suffrage Society in 1884. She died in Point Lonsdale, after marrying Frederick Johnson in 1903; he predeceased her.) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henrietta_Dugdale
