  • Australian Dictionary of Biography (online) 17 May 2019: (Arthur Sanders Way (1847-1930), headmaster and translator, was born on 13 February 1847 at Dorking, Surrey, England. After graduating M.A. (London) in 1873, and etaching in Bath and Taunton, he was appinted headmaster of Wesley College, Melbourne, arriving on 25 January 1882. When the fortunes of Wesley College declined in the dpression of the 1890s, Way resigned in 1892, returning to England, where he lived chiefly from the royalties of his translations, which he had begun to publish in 1876.
