Pak, Chi-wŏn. The Jehol diary, 2010 t.p. (Yang Hi Choe-Wall) dust jacket (Dr Yang Hi Choe-Wall (1932-) grew up in Seoul during the Japanese occupation, and was there throughout the Korean War. She moved to Australia in 1965 with her son and daughter to take up a librarianship at the Australian National University in Canberra. She received her M.A. and PhD in Korean literature of the Choson period (1392-1910) at the Australian National University, and taught Korean language there. Later, as Fellow (Associate Professor) of the University's Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, she researched and wrote extensively on Korean classical literature, and retired in 1999. She now lives in Sydney)
