Politician. Edward Gough Whitlam, AC, QC (born 11 July 1916), known as Gough Whitlam, is an Australian former politician and was 21st Prime Minister of Australia. Polymath and Italophile. Whitlam is an honorary Fellow of the Australian Academy of Humanities.
