Wikipedia 7 September 2023: (Kenneth Sisam FBA (2 September 1887 – 26 August 1971) was a New Zealand academic and publisher, whose major career was as an employee of the Oxford University Press. He was born at Ōpōtiki and studied at University College, Auckland (MA 1910). With a Rhodes scholarship, he studied at Merton College (Oxford) (B.Litt. 1915) and taught for some time, J.R.R. Tolkien being one of his students. He did some work on the Oxford English Dictionary, and in 1922 joined Oxford University Press, continuing his work on Anglo-Saxon texts.
