The Commercial Bureau of the American Republics was established in 1890. The name was changed in 1902 to International Bureau of the American Republics; in 1910 to Pan American Union; and in 1970 to General Secretariat of the Organization of American States. Works by this body published before the change of name in 1910 are found under International Bureau of the American Republics. Works published after that change of name are found under the headings according to the name used at the time of publication.
