  • Wikipedia 21 April 2017 (Helen Fraser (feminist): Helen Miller Fraser later Helen Moyes (14 September 1881 – 2 December 1979) was a Scottish suffragist, feminist, educationalist and Liberal Party politician who later moved to Australia. She was born of Scottish parents in Leeds, Yorkshire. In Scotalnd, she became an activist in women's affairs. She became a friend of Adela Pankhurst; about 1908 she joined the National Union of Women's Suffrage Societies, remaining on their executive for 14 years. She was a member of the British War Mission to the United States in 1917, speaking in 40 states in 312 days. After the war she took part in several electoral campaigns.
