  • Wikipedia 4 April 2021: (Frances Cashel Hoey (née Frances Sarah Johnston; 14 February 1830 – 8 July 1908), pseudonym Cashel Hoey, was an Irish novelist, journalist and translator. She was born in Bushy Park, Dublin, Ireland. In 1853 she began contributing to journals and papers in Dublin. She married first Adam Murray Stewart, who died in 1856; as a widow she moved to London, and continued writing. She frequently visited Paris; on Easter Sunday 1871 she travelled to Paris, returning the next day to England with news of the Paris Commune.
