Wikipedia 10 April 2020: (Jean Hardouin (English: John Hardwin; Latin: Johannes Harduinus; 1646 – 3 September 1729), French classical scholar, was born at Quimper in Brittany. He joined the Jesuits about 1662, and studied in Paris. he became librarian of the Lycée Louis-le-Grand in 1683, and he died there. He published editions of classical Greek and Latin authors, and became an expert numismatist.
