About Libraries Australia
Libraries Australia is a service which allows you to search for and locate material in Australian and overseas libraries, e.g. Library of Congress.
You can also find items that are available online or order a copy from Australian and overseas book sellers or document suppliers.
There are two versions of Libraries Australia, a free service, and a subscription service for libraries and their users, or for individuals.
The subscription service provides additional functionality, such as further search options, a wide range of databases to search, and downloading of records. Users can also set up personalised accounts.
The same Web address is used to access both versions, but authentication is required for the subscription service.
To use the subscription service you need to join the Libraries Australia Service. This requires you to complete an online User Registration form and sign a User Agreement.
